If you’re here it’s a pretty safe bet that having quality photos of your family is important to you. I’m all for that! And while I do completely think that the experience of having a professional photographer reveal your family to you in ways you can’t even imagine is a gift (and one everyone deserves to receive at least once) I do also completely believe that more photos need to be taken, whether I’m around or not. There’s a lot to understand with photography and while there are some great books out there that can help you learn how to use your camera, I strongly believe nothing beats picking the brain of someone who already knows all that stuff!
So, it’s your turn. If you want to learn how to take your camera off of the dreaded GREEN BOX, turn auto OFF, and your own imagination ON, then come talk to me, I’ll share with you what I know and before you know it you’ll be the family documentarian you always dreamed of.
These photo lessons make great gifts for adults and teenagers alike; anyone who has a “fancy” camera, doesn’t know how to put its power to good use but would love to learn how! And if you want to get your friends together to learn as a group, give me a shout, and I’ll put together a special package just for you!

What’s not covered?
While most anything is game during these sessions, these are not business classes. We will be spending time learning the ins and outs of our camera, including the various settings photographers employ to capture their images, ways to use natural light, and what equipment is right for each situation. We will not be going into the running of a photography business in any way. There are a variety of sources that can be found online for those who would like to learn those types of things. Thank you for your understanding.
