This weekend we were gifted abundant sunshine, and once we got going it warmed up so perfectly. These two cuties had me from hello, and it was so nice to get catch up with mom and dad. Thank you again you guys, I had a great time and cannot wait to dive into your shots!!! Here are just a couple to tide you over!

As a photographer and artist there are a few dreams that can get tucked away inside our hearts as we endeavor to create and inspire with our work, and one of those for me was to someday have my photos published in a magazine.

I wasn’t actively pursuing this dream, though, just staying open to it and taking the photos that I love to take. But as often happens when we follow the love instead of the goal, dreams come to us. This week I was lucky enough to have a few of my photos included in a piece in Mingle magazine (one of the awesome Stampington family pubs!) written by some of my Tribe sisters.

It’s both an honor and a privilege to have my art included with their beautiful words. Check out the Spring 2013 issue of Mingle, on stands now, to see them for yourself. I talked a little bit more about this dream-come-true over on my coaching blog, head on over to read more!

It’s only a matter of time till the weather makes that glorious turn for the warmer and I’ll be out there getting my jeans filthy rolling down hills, sand in my camera bag, and leaves in my hair. If you’re up for an early Spring session I’m now taking bookings. I can’t wait to meet you!

Hello hello hello! It doesn’t nearly seem possibly that it was almost exactly one year ago that I decided to step away from this place! Since that time I’ve been a busy bee (no rest for the wicked, right?)

It’s been an amazingly wild ride! Those of you who know me well are aware that I have a lot of interests, and when something strikes my fancy I like to jump in with both feet. So, last June I launched into an 8 month training program with the one and only Martha Beck (otherwise known as Oprah’s life coach!) to learn all about how to help women tap back into their dreams, their passions, and their confidence. I’m super stoked to say I graduated this past March from her program and have already worked with a group of amazing, inspiring women! Since, I’ve been building my coaching practice much like I built this photography business: organically, through word of mouth. I’m taking on new clients one at a time, and with each one I love the work more and more. It’s different from photography, but just as rewarding. I can’t wait to see where it takes me! I added a schnazzy new “About Rebecca…” section above that talks a little bit more about it or you can find out the whole deal with More Moxie Coaching, right here!

And while it’s been on the extreme hush-hush I HAVE been doing some photography here and there, so there’s no need to worry about my skills having gone rusty! I’m happy to be back and able to open my calendar up this Summer and Fall for returning AND new clients!! I’m keeping things simple this year, with limited availability, so I can really honor the work I do in both coaching and photography. And while I can’t say anything for sure, this MAY be my last year taking on photo clients… so, if you’ve been waiting for a session with me, please don’t wait for next year, cause it might not happen!!

It’s been a long time since I’ve come to this space! Much has been happening over here, but today I am writing to let you all know that I am taking a bit of time away from Rebecca Murphy Photography. I am not taking any new bookings while I am on this sabbatical and will be sure to post here when I am ready to do so. Nothing crazy or major to worry about, just finding myself at a place where some time away would do me well. I hope you all have an amazing summer, enjoy every second of it!!!
